By the initiative of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan different social programs are organized for supporting Syrian Armenian families who live in Yerevan.

During the period for January-August 2015, about 1018 Syrian Armenian families from different administrative districts of the capital got social assistance from Yerevan Municipality. About 92 families were included in the state social programs. 
During the very period, 1498 Syrian Armenians applied to municipal medical establishments and got free medical aid and services. 103 children of pre-schooling age were enrolled in kindergartens out of turn; 452 children go to 84 municipal schools. 

Before the beginning of the new academic year, 167 Syrian Armenian pupils, of the beginning classes, living in Yerevan were presented school bags with stationery. Syrian Armenian children have always participated in various events, had free visits to museums and other cultural establishments.
