During the first working meeting of 2016 in Yerevan City Hall Mayor Taron Margaryan was reported that various devices and apparatus used for trade in the central streets which hinder free movement of pedestrians are being inventoried. Mayor Taron Margaryan noted that at least two streets in Kentron administrative district are to be free of such equipment. It was instructed to carry out mentioned activities in other administrative districts.
Referring to the organization of public transport at the beginning of the year the Mayor expressed his dissatisfaction with the quality of work.
«I am very discontented with the organization of public transport work. The work was particularly unsatisfactory on January 1. You were obliged to provide our citizens' movement by public transport before my calling you. Such work style is unacceptable, so draw an inference from it. It relates to the directors of CJSCs «Autobus» and «Yerevantrans», said Taron Margaryan and reprimanded the head of the Department of Transport of Yerevan Municipality.
During the meeting it was also reported that 1 case of illegal construction had been recorded within the recent 10 days. Within the same period 1 object fenced with polyethylene cover was revealed and dismantled. Concerning revelation and prevention of waste dumping in inappropriate places it was reported that 33 records had been drawn up the previous week. It was instructed to carry on strict control in this regard.
Related to the control over the decoration of the capital Taron Margaryan instructed to go on the duties till January 13.
Concerning cleaning up of the drainage pipes and water supply in the administrative districts it was reported that within the recent 10 days the work of the systems was under permanent control and all the problems were solved. 547 rain-pipes were cleaned up.
As regards the issue of water supply stop in Shengavit district on December 31 because of the emergency situation on the water line the Mayor instructed to make proper awareness of the public in such situation.
At the end of the meeting Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed the persons in charge to ensure proper temperature in all educational establishments before the beginning of the lessons.
The Mayor also instructed to make preparations for the Day of Armenian Army and Saint Sargis feast
