Washington, DC--Raffi K. Hovannisian, Armenia's first minister of foreign affairs, is in the American capital at the invitation of the world-renowned Atlantic Council.
Today, in a wide-ranging presentation at the Council moderated by Ambassador John Herbst, Hovannisian provided American decision makers and strategic analysts a tour d'horizon of Armenia's contemporary political landscape, its democratic deficiencies, and its foreign policy challenges. He will continue his Washington contacts with high-level meetings at the Department of State.
Raffi Hovannisian currently serves as chairman of the Heritage Party, board member of the New Armenia Front, and founding director of the Armenian Center for National and International Studies.
