Deputy Mayor David Ohanyan and the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of RA Robert Makaryan took part in the opening ceremony of the two-day fair-tasting of wine in Northern avenue. ''The fair-tasting of wine has been held in Yerevan for the first time. Prior to the holidays we give our residents the opportunity to taste good wine and to purchase whichever they like'. Not so long ago a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Yerevan Municipality and Ministry of Agriculture according to which such events are to be held'', said the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan.

The products of various wine companies and wine producers are presented in 23 pavilions. ''By the initiative of the RA Minister of Agriculture and jointly with Yerevan City Hall we start the organization of special days for the fairs for various agricultural products'', said the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Robert Makaryan. The fair-tasting is also aimed at tourism development in Armenia and presentation of the best traditions of the Armenian viniculture. The Deputy Mayor of Yerevan and the Deputy Minister walked about the fair, familiarized themselves with the products on display, talked to the wine-makers.

The first fair-tasting, organized in Northern avenue is open on November 28-29.
