The Swiss Cooperation Office for the South Caucasus cordially invites you to
attend the launch of its new book “Faces and Stories of Entrepreneurs of the South
Caucasus”.
When: 10 September 2015, 18:30
Where: 42/1 Arami str., Navavar fishy restaurant
This book was produced to mark the 15-year anniversary of the opening of the
Swiss Cooperation Office in the South Caucasus, in 1999. Since then Switzerland
has supported the economic and political transition of Armenia, Azerbaijan and
Georgia through its Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the State
Secretariat for Economic Affairs.
The book shares the stories of four entrepreneurs in each of the three countries
and invites readers to get to know how ordinary people take risks to succeed, using
innovative approaches to reach their goals.
Entrepreneurship is critical for sustainable and inclusive economic development:
many resources are spent on improving private sector conditions, facilitating the
access to the market and catalyzing systemic changes along the value chains.
The SDC promotes rural economic development in the three countries of the
South Caucasus with the aim of securing a better and more consistent income for
rural farming households. Switzerland’s approach to offering support is based on
cooperation and great value is placed on the sustainability of the assistance
provided. A peaceful and prosperous South Caucasus is in Switzerland’s best
interest.
High rank officials from Ministries of Finance, Agriculture, Territorial
Administration of RA, representatives of international and partner organizations
operating in Armenia will attend the event. We would be grateful if you could RSVP to
email address yerevan@eda.admin.ch or telephone +37410 529860.
