Raffi K. Hovannisian, independent Armenia's first minister of foreign affairs, received a group of ambassadors and other diplomats at his headquarters here on November 30.
Hovannisian, who serves as chairman of the Heritage Party, founding member of the New Armenia Front, and founding director of the Armenian Center for National and International Studies, briefed European Union Ambassador Piotr Switalski, OSCE Ambassador Andrey Sorokin, German Ambassador Bernhard Matthias Kiesler, United Kingdom Ambassador Judith Margareth Farnworth, US Ambassador Richard Mills, Italian Ambassador Giovanni Ricciulli, Polish Ambassador Jerzy Marek Nowakowski, Swiss Ambassador Lukas Gasser, Czech Ambassador Petr Mikyska, and Japanese Counselor Kenichiro Sasame on the current state of the Republic and political developments in and around it. A multidisciplinary exchange of views and analyses ensued in a round-table setting.
On the same day, Raffi Hovannisian held a separate meeting with Iranian Ambassador Seyed Kazem Sadjadi. During these discussions Hovannisian was joined by New Armenia Front representatives Garegin Chookaszian, Armen Martirosian, and Hovsep Khurshudian. Heritage Party Press Service
