Prominent boxer Vakhtang "Vic" Darchinyan is in Artsakh.
In an interview with Artsakhpress Darchinyan told that he didn’t visit Artsakh within two decades and he is very glad to be in Artsakh. “Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan, Prime Minister Arayik Haroutyunyan received me. I had very warm meetings, I am very grateful. I am going to visit the frontline, to meet with our soldiers, to encourage them,” said Darchinyan, adding that he is very impressed by the visit to Artsakh.
"It is really a wonderful place, it is impossible not to admire the Artsakh nature, sights. I would like to call all our compatriots to spend the part of their summer holidays in Artsakh. Besides the fact that they will relax and have fun, they will also show the enemy who are the owners of Artsakh, "said Darchinyan.
To the question whether he has a planned bout in the nearest future, Darchinyan answered that in July he has a bout for the World Championship. "I will depart for the US after my visit to Artsakh to prepare for the bout," the boxer said.
Vakhtang "Vic" Darchinyan is an Armenian Australian professional boxer and former three-division world champion, having won eight titles in three different weight classes. He has held the IBFflyweight title, as well as the undisputed WBA, WBC and IBF super flyweight titles. He has also captured a record four IBO titles in three weight classes.
