A great artisan of the relationship between France and Armenia left us last night.
Patrick Devedjian was a tireless defender of the Armenian cause and played a constant role in the relationship between our two countries. At the presidency of the department council of tops-de-Seine, he had developed one of the main development projects in Armenia for the benefit of the province of Utik.
A regular visitor of Armenia, he was known and appreciated by all, and the Armenian people today pay tribute to him.
On a more personal basis, I remember his long head-to-head he had given me in his office in Nanterre, before taking office in Armenia, an interview, full of advice and lessons, whose echo resonates especially today.
I wish to express my condolences to his family, his loved ones, the elected officials of the department council and the tops-de-Seine.
